past, present and future

I discovered (or rather, realized) the other day that I am now in my second year of school. Doesn't seem like it's been that long. And it also doesn't feel like I've learned much of anything yet. Kind of sad. Though I have been doing more and more research and reading from non school sources and that helps a lot.
So, here I am, just into my second year, the end is in sight, and now I'm thinking about doing even more school. Thinking about pursuing a BS in computer networking to add on to the AA I'll get from Lane. This would mean at least two more years in school, an ass load of math classes and other general ed requirements I would have to fulfill.
Part of me wants to do it and part of me wants to say "hell no". I've been getting a bit more serious about it and checking out the different classes I would have to take, what the work load would be like and what all would be involved. It's a lot!
On the other hand, a BS would greatly increase my marketability, increase my income and those are both good things, especially in this economy. But, it would mean more time in school. It would mean spending two more years in Eugene.
Of course, all of this depends on money and financial aid and being able to pay for it. My goal is to get A's in every class from here on out so I can apply for some scholarships and actually have a chance of getting them. I don't know how much more financial aid I can get before they cut me off.
Apparently I need to go spend some time at the college and talk to people. I don't even know yet if I would be able to get accepted into the program. Guess I should get all my ducks lined up and wait for the eggs to hatch and all that. One step at a time.

guess that means, more to come later.
